Mantic orx trike.

So i was at the mantic open day today and got this is in my goodie bag.

It's a nice little kit, no bubbles or deformity.there was a slight bit of misshaping that had to be fixed with hot water but other than that it all went together well and proved itself to be a really neat little thing.


I should hopefully be taking a brush to it on monday.

So it only took me a few months, but i finally got some pictures of some progress.
Just the orx driver im afraid, but i figured he was such a nice characterful miniature that he deserved his own base.
quite proud of this little chap despite my phone camera HATING miniatures.(thank god for instagram hi def)



And the orx next to a speed painted corp marine for scale.

That Ork would work well besides old Rogue Trader stuff. Do you have any RT Orks you could photo with them for scale?

I have liked that Raptor model since I first saw it.  It fits well with an RT/Gorkamorka take on the orks I think.  Im looking forward to seeing how you paint it.

The first Mantic Marauder/Orx release (which is where the orx aand trike above come from) features orx that do scale well with RT figures Jonas.  The promotional paintjob used by Mantic was also quite a retro, Battle at the Farm, RT looking one to my eyes.



The "internets" was very unhappy with the release as space orks should have shoes and shouldnt have any visible chainmail type accoutrements apparently    If you like RT orks then I suspect that you are well used to to barefoot, mail-clad space greenskins.

The Deadzone orx are a little chunkier and a little less ramshackle looking.  I mix orks/orcs/orx from all over the place together of course, that sort of thing doesnt bother me.

I dont currently have any RT orks to photograph alongside the Mantic stuff Im afraid, but I should have a couple soon.  I will atke a photo when they show up if you like.

That would be cool.

Not that I would need any boyz, since there is tons of RT Orks to choose from, but I would consider adding Mantic vehicles, since there is not many good RT Ork vehicles and the 2nd edition/Gorka Morka vehicles are abominations to look at.
