Sell by date on minis?

Given I have some figures older than my 'kids' (both of whom are out of Uni) unpainted and taking up space I'm going through a tidy up process again 

I've sorted out those figures I stand a possible chance of doing some bits with (oh yeah right…) and decided I'm going to put a 'sell by' date on them - I either paint them or to the sales they go.

Anyone tried this as a way of reducing the pile?

Very much so! And I just sold off a mountain.

I tend to find it happens naturally. That project I was foaming at the mouth for loses its luster in favour of another one.

That said, it's a good idea in a motivation sort of way!

Pretty much all of my post 80s GW stuff has or is going that way. I'm only keeping the 80s stuff (for now), the Chaos stuff and the Inquisitor stuff. I gave myself a time limit to paint my massive High Elf and Wood Elf armies and it's past, so away they go (when I get around to it!).
