Figures for a farmer

I have mucho Peons... I can use Vaqueros for Hispanic Ranchers and cowboys for Anglo Ranchers... but what figures might I use for Farmers in the Mexican Rebels company lists (Machete and shotgun [or carbine] armed) anyone? Any suggestions for (preferably non-Anglo) figures that would look different from Peons and have a shotgun or carbine as in the list would be greatly appreciated.

Given the inroads of 19th century textiles everywhere, I'd use the same cowboys and add some oversized mustachios or swap cowboy hats for sombreros. Maybe add some of those leg stripes to the pants. From my admittedly anglo perspective, the main difference should be in the painting, put on more embroidery.

Try out some Old Glory Boer War types or check out some of their other ranges. I think the Poncho Villa line has what your looking for...

This was a large portion of my peons.  Of course,   no picture for the "Regular Mexican Cavalry" on the web site.  Maybe the "Other" OG site will have one.

Edit: and still nothing uniquely "Mexican Farmer" still.

Well, dismounted cavalry apparently looked like this http://www.oldglory25s.com/view_product.php?product=PIM-18 so mounted will just have a horse underneath the rider.    

I might use the Irregular cavalry for the "Federale Lancers" of the "Enforcement Companies" since these operate "in the field" much of the time per the fluff and I suspect uniform re-issue would be infrequent.
