He did and some people swear by them.

I tend to not be a fan because he takes all the pulp heroes and makes them related then explains that it was a meteor (I think) that lead to all these heroes emerging. To me this diminishes their individual greatness and makes them super heroes and not men who bettered themselves through their own work and training.

Just my 2 cents for what it's worth.

I like everything except the meteor bit--the idea that you can cram them all into one timeline is kind of neat. It's a little obsessive, like the guys who sculpt the frieze from the Parthenon into a matchstick, but the end result is still impressive.

Also didn't know that . I loved his sci-fi stuff ca.15 years ago and read most of his books. Pulp from Farmer...must read :)
