I am looking for some modern / near future / sci fi 28mm ( true scale) none ruined buildings in the market place. I have found a few companies who produce cheaper MDF style modern buildings whom I will be looking at purchasing from, as well as another company who did a kickstarter just last year for their indoor terrain. As we will need some for when we begin setting up the game system for our Veil Fall setting ;).

However The MDF out door terrain buildings do tend to be very square and I am interested if anyone knows of any company that produces some nice modern and or near future buildings?

Thanks again in advance for any advice sent my way, as an update we are setting up the site for pre orders as I speak and I will announce here soon that pre orders will be up here soon I promise!.

with best regards - Shawn.

Tough call.  As you said a lot of MDF options but most buildings are rather square (unfortunately in the US...that's horribly common in reality as well).  There is always the option of starting with a simple box and making it into something more yourself but that's a lot of work if you don't have the time.  I can't think of any solid solutions off the top of my head.

Try the 1/48 doll houses that are starting to be become all the craze these days; buildings in many shapes and sizes, be it a bit heavy on the Victorian, but still, plenty of good options.

Also, I'd check out the S-Scale railroad buildings; there are loads that might suit your purpose.

And then there are the papercraft buildings such as those from Scalescenes. I've succesfully enlarged one of their buildings to 1:56, and whilst pretty labour intensive, the results are impressive and quite sturdy too.
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

OUr very own Jim Bibbly has some nice warehouses which work from Victorian onwards and he is soon to produce his beautiful Tokyo Apartment blocks, be worthwhile messaging him.
Pardulon Models do a nice range of resin accessories for modern buildings they would be useful for breaking up the straight lines of MDF buildings.
Bachman Plasticville buildings are great, a little oversized but still work well.
Available on Ebay and in the UK through: http://darkhousegames.co.uk/
Antennociti also provide a good range of accesories and furniture for Modern/Near future buildings.
I hope this helps

The Plasticraft Games sci-fi stuff is a little less 'cube-like' - stocked by Antenociti's Workshop in UK.

As already noted, Plasticville is pretty popular with many gamers, as is paper terrain from World Works Games, Stenzel's Structures and others.

I use Demo's Laser Craft Terrain for all my near future stuff. Cheap and REALLY nice.

CorSec Engineering has a few good ones that the local store has on the terrain shelves...Strip mall, Convenience Store, fast food place, and a gas pump thing such as you see in front of a lot of the places like Speedway...not sure what it's specifically called...

Someone donated them back when the store had their RPG Room promotion they run off and on where they have certain minis that if you buy paint and bring back to the store to "donate" for their room of stuff for wargame tables and rpg stuff, you get a 25% boost to the cost of the piece in store credit...along with a few other perks there for it. (There's also been similar bounties for specific types of terrain, normally there it's a straight store credit of a judged value if it isn't a purchased piece)

They've held up rather well, didn't see them built though. They do look rather good as well.
