How to build a savannah board ?

I'm interested in building a savannah board for a skirmish game.






It seems I need some tree, acacias perhaps but I don't know how to manage the grass, the ground, etc..

Could you advice me ?

Grass would be easiest with teddy bear fur I would imagine

A few years ago there was a prize-winning board all over the place, without fur.

But I have seen fur boards and for savannah this is probably the best You can do
