I found that adding a Tea Light candle was easy enough.

So real life has kept me being that active here on LAF of lately and besides forum activity, also this build project had stalled badly.

Got free time today and decided to give it a go still, the dead-line is looming in the horizon, I know  :-I

First the roof, used some left-over business cards from my castle job to make shingles or such. Didn't cover the whole roof though, just the parts that would not have snow on:

OOPS, will add proper pic later here

Then made an easy job chimney, cut some cork for tiles, glued on top of styrofoam form and used spackle to few spaces between the tiles to give it a mortar type of finish of sorts:

Glued the chimney in place and made the "top" part out of styrofoam:

When there's smoke, there's fire, they say… :

And now everything base coat, waiting for this to dry and then will start applying next paint coats:

Will need to rework the base part, it will not have frozen lake as I have no time for it :/ So it will be just snow for now, I'm afraid.

Looking good - I hope you get to finish this.

But this bit:

Managed to finish my entry.

It will be a poor photo as I lack a proper photo booth.

There will be smoke and also fire, seen through a frosty window (that's one icy thingy in this entry) and then icicles due to somebody lighting the fire and causing the snow on the roof to melt.

I wish I would have had more time but at least I finished a terrain piece, that's almost something new for me :D And I can use this for several gaming periods, mainly for possible Finnish War, Finnish Civil War and Winter War…

Cheers for those who have commented and had the will to follow my very slow progress with this :) And all the best to all comp entries!  8)

Well done - it'll be better than you think.

...

Unless you sat on it and just submitted a photo of that.

Cheers Rob.

I think it stills needs the frozen lakeside with a hole in the ice to go with the sauna :)
