AWI Divisional Armies from the Perrys
« on: 22 October 2015, 06:40:28 PM »
So I am looking at the Perrys Divisional Deals for the AWI and I notice a difference in the names for the British, 'Northern', 'Southern' and 'Saratoga.  For the Americans two different variations.  do the names signify anything in particular to uniforms or location these armies would of fought? Bit of a noob to the conflict so just checking.

The difference is in the metal packs that come with the deal, which will be more appropriate to the particular theatre. So the Saratoga deal will most likely have artillerymen wearing the saratoga uniforms (unique to that campaign). The British legion cavalry in the Southern deal is famous (perhaps infamous ;)) for its part in the Southern campaign. The plastic figures that make up the majority of the figures have the options for every theatre.

Edit: I should add that the way you assemble the plastics doesn't necessarily make them specific to one area (except the Saratoga uniforms). And some of the metal figures work for both (so the Hessian Jaegers in the Northern deal also fought in the south)
