Empress Miniatures USMC releases.
« on: 14 June 2016, 08:55:20 AM »
Today's modern releases are USMC support packs. Useful for taking out all types of vehicles as well as enemy positions or just making the odd mouse hole.

These guys come in both K-pot and booney packs.

Plus some extra head sets ranging from goggles on the helmet which is the iconic USMC look to night vision and another of my favourite the latest gas mask which is pretty Darth Vader in design.

The booney hat heads also work for other uses.

Hope you guys like these?

Cheers,
Paul

Ooh, I'll be 'aving those gas mask heads for my modern Post-Apocalyptic games.

And goggles resting on helmets unused. Compulsory for all modern combat forces. Pity they're not wearing sunglasses at the same time as well. :D

With your skill at moding, I am sure that would be an easy fix.

Those look awesome. Especially the heads with Goggles and NODs.
One minor note on the NBC heads, the filter on the field protective mask would only be mounted on the side opposite from where the marine will shoulder his rifle. The filters are too thick to allow any type of cheek weld to be obtained. That's already hard enough in full MOPP without the extra interference.
The mask is capable of taking two filters in a non-combat role but I never saw one fitted with two while I was in.

Its the M50 which came into service in 2009 replacing the older M40 which had the filter only on one side.

The designer was obviously a Darth Vader fan. ;)
