Empress Miniatures Cavalry Releases.
« on: January 18, 2010, 11:45:49 AM »
Hi All,

Our second mounted auxilliary unit to be released, and arguably the most famous, the Natal Mounted Police.

Kind regards,
Empress Miniatures.

Beautiful miniatures, and so lovely horses. I really wonder why not all manufacturers of historical miniatures use Ebob sculpts for their horses, there are no better ones.

I don't want to go into the Zulu wars, so I need to find a way to get those wonderful miniatures into my collection ...

I have just ordered these. I like the horses a lot. I would have liked to see an officer figure for each of the mounted contingents. Its hard to plan the scale and composition of units with only vague hints of whats 'coming soon'. ;)

Looking at photos, I have to pass on these.  Glad everyone likes them.  I'm just too picky.

wow, very nice - 10 different cavalry
almost a reason to get into colonial wargaming

could anyone please explain to me blind and dumb the difference between the carbineers and mounted police?
and the difference to regular cavalry? (apart from the spikes on the helmet)
and what is this strange hat one of them has?

Those are fanatstic.  That guy with the beard and forage (it is a forage cap?)cap, great!

How about breaking into 15mm?

(no worries, I'm sure the guys that I play 28mm Zulu War with will have them on the table soon enough!)
