I agree, those weapons look great! (You wouldn't happen to have done/do a man-portable conversion beamer as well, would you? I still need to figure one out for my Genestealer Cult...)

I'm loving your project by the way, I've been collecting figures for quasi-space hulk games and your thread is great inspiration.

Thank you! I've found that tunnelcrawling games are as much fun in a sci-fi setting as they are in fantasy. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

I don't have plans to make a Beamer, since GW made metal ones as separate peices, plus the GS cult/Chaos sprue had one also. I have a plastic chaos Beamer that I can send you, it has some paint residue on it though.

Next on my list is neuro disruptor, graviton gun, needlers and maybe a D-cannon.

Since I'm doing the LPL the RT weapon project is going to slow down a bit :(

a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

NICE! I love the new versions of the RT weapons! Especially the web gun. Very very cool! Loving this project and been following it closely. Really hard to resist not diving into my own crew, but too many other projects need attention.

Great stuff.

Jeez, it took me ages to get back to this, hasn't it?
Anyway, the new crewmembers have been painted:

And the entire crew as it is now, with the new additions.

And a little action shot:

Hopefully the next additions won't have to wait for a year and a half...  ;D

What a great project  8)  :-*

Can anybody point me to a good resource on the background fluff and rules being used for these sort of games (I have no gaming history of 40k  :o). Thanks   :)

Thank you!
For the background you could visit the 40k wiki, it's the most extensive and least expensive source.
For rules, anything goes really. A rather freeform hybrid of Necromunda and Rogue Trader/2nd ed rules is popular, as is using the old Inquisitor rules. There are people using non-GW rules as well, like Pulp Alley, In the Emperor's Name, etc. Use what you and your group likes. The basic idea is "story before rules".

Just saw this thread and it's awesome. As a big fan of Inquisimunda (pretty much all i play now) I'm really loving the salvage crew. Have you had many games yet?

First time laying eyes on this topic, and man is it a great one!

I have to agree on the kroot shoulder pad thing, that's a stroke of genius there!

Lovely additions, that gang is really taking shape now.
So full of character and excellent conversions.
Lovely atmospheric shot on the walkways too.
