Battle of Torrington 1646

I've posted a report on our walk around the town of Great Torrington in Devon.



The battle was fought through the town in darkness, caused a massive explosion in the town church and featured an all star cast with Generals Hopton, Fairfax and Cromwell and with a fifteen year old Prince Charles thrown in for good measure.

Thanks chaps, glad you enjoyed the read. I had been aware of the battle at Torrington for years but had never properly studied it so it was really fun walking it and having a clear understanding of time and events. The Black Horse was a bonus.
