Willie,
You could also look at the Empire range from Gamezone. Personally, I don't really go for them. They're too big to fit in with other figures I like and I find them a bit cartoonish. Plenty of other people seem to like them, however. I seem to remember that they're also quite expensive.

Thanks for that I have actually ordered some of the game zone figures  it will be interesting to view them in the flesh and see how they stand next to the other figures. I know what you mean about being a bit cartoony though I'm hoping the painting style Dave uses will subdue it a bit.
Once I have them I will post some comparison shots.

Cheers

Willie

Beautiful "theatric" painting - with the lighting, very Night Watch.  I am thoroughly enjoying your work.

I think there is also some real potential in The Assault Group's Tudor range, especially among some of the Border/Militia infantry packs (steering clear of longbows, of course) and the Tudor gun crew.  Nothing about them specifically screams "English," and they can just as easily be French, Spaniards, Venetians, etc. circa 1550's period.

I agree they will hopefully make an appearance in the collection sometime in the new year ;)

It sounds like you've got plenty of choice for the Christian forces.
