And that, boys and girls, is how Portsmouth got relegated to Peru.

lol ...keep an eye out for Harry Redknapp, lurking in Lima, with a brown paper bag full of cash.

Some great ideas there has.been re:'other' matches. That chart you suggest, which preludes any game, offers the essential flavour of a season game without having to play an entire season. A very smart fix - I like it...

Only just seen this thread I'll have to check these rules out I've played a couple of other footy games corner kick! And the beautiful game. And have been trying to get footy figures sculpted and cast I've currently got five figures sculpted and want to do one more its just taking time as I'm funding this myself.

Great stuff guys! I play 'Corner Kick' myself but am really interested in giving 'Striker' a go  :)

Here are some photos of my Corner Kick squads I painted up last year - and why you'll see some players that are no longer on the teams lol
my beloved Liverpool,  :D

I've had the teams from the movie "Escape To Victory" in the queue for way too long - maybe 'Striker' will get me motivated to get them completed!

Watts, I would be all about new figures - the Quantum Casting figures lack a bit, the heads and hair styles are just off and as you can see so are some of the poses. Please keep us posted! I didn't have any "normal" Vallejo colors that could pass for the uniforms, so I had to use some Testors model paint instead and it just didn't turn out too well :?

Will do! I just had an update from the sculptor and it shouldn't be much longer until I have more to show.

Those are lovely teams ivor13! The details, with the names and sponsors on the shirts are amazing. Did you use decals and, if so, can I ask where you got them from?

Thanks! Honestly all I did was go online to different jersey sites and save the images of the kits - if you look closely you can see where I cut them out   lol
I just resized them to fit on the figures - I did the same with the sponsor logos on the fronts of the jerseys. I know decals would be ideal but when I was researching how best to do this I found out that printing white onto decals is really only successful if you're using a commercial printer. So I just used regular printer paper - like I mentioned, up close probably not so good, but looking from above the table pretty good  :D

Well I thought they were custom decals too (and wondering how much you spent on them with all that white). Excellent work on making them look that good!

You really just have to paint the surface white, where the decal goes. Print it with the jersey colour around the text, perhaps a little darker than you are going to paint the jersey, and you can leave a tiny bit of it unpainted, to set off the white text.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Quick update on the 3D render I showed earlier. I received a test print today! Here are a couple of photos:

The sculptor is just making a few small adjustments and I will have the printable files sometime next week. At the moment I am looking for a caster somewhere in the US or Canada (I am in Toronto) to do the first run.

That looks awesome! Can almost see this dude wearing a headband like Beckham.

Not sure how they'd go with my Eureka figs, but I'd probably be interested in grabbing some of these if/when they come out.

Yeah, they aren't nearly as chunky as the Eureka models but they should be around the same heigh I believe.
