Some of Tigger Miniatures* Sand Pebbles range....

No "the best" minis ever made but great fun and a joy to paint; makes me want to build a gunboat  ;D

* I know it's Tiger but they'll always be Tigger to me  :D

Fine painting.
A excellent shore party to beat back the bad guys.

Nice brushwork, on what appear to be just-adequate figures. A really good job. After having seen what you've done with them - I'm tempted. I don't suppose anyone makes the San Pablo, or something that will pass for it, in 28mm?

Great paintjob! I think the miniatures are very nice but I have not yet painted mine. They are really large and hard to find compatible opponents. Have you found any suitable?

Don't think I'll have a problem putting them on a table with Pulp and/or Copplestone.... yes, they're a tad larger but I'll put that down to them being 'well fed'  ;)

I think Houston has built one or more models of the San Pablo. Marine0846 here might have one of those.

Using decking supplies from train shops, along with detail bits from Reviresco and other companies, it's a doable scratch build project.
Sailors have more fun!

Yes, the figures are undeniably wonky on the anatomy/posing front. And slightly cartoony, in that Pulp Figures style - although not as accomplished as Mr Murch's sculpts.
The painting is well up to your usual brilliant standard though  :)

I don't have the San Pablo but do have the OAHU.
It looks pretty close. It is about 18 inches long.
Purchased it many years ago from Houston's ships.
Have a bunch of Pulp Figures sailors.
Am looking to see what Bob Murch's new navy figures look like when they come out.
Need to go to his site and take a look.

Bob Murch is re-designing his US sailors/marines - there  are a couple of greens on his facebook photos

https://www.facebook.com/pulp.figures/photos?pnref=lhc

Some of the laser cutting companies might be persuaded to produce the San Pablo  as they seem to be releasing more and more ironclads, paddle steamers etc.
