Italian Wars Slow Burn

I have always been interested in the Italian Wars but have been daunted by the numbers of figures required.  However I have decided to dip my toe in the water and paint a few figures here and there.  Here is my first attempt with some Spanish arquebus men.  They are Foundry Miniatures from their Conquistador range, which seem to fit the bill nicely.

Mine did a sterling job holding off the the ambushers at Salute allowing the escape of Lady Elspeth

I like the fellow in the white and red striped hose. When I was at college in the 80s, all the metalheads used to wear skin-tight trousers with patterns like that. Brings back happy memories.
