I took a few pictures of this great game.

Lovely set-up and a well-deserved prize!  Just shocked by the Hunnish behaviour inside the chateau ;)
I know, disgraceful...

Some more pics over on my blog

Just fantastic - so much wonderful detail.  I love the German artillery park, but the collectors are absolutely wonderful (my favorite is the fellow in the Mutze carrying off the magnum of champagne) - not to mention the Landser answering the call of nature !

Simply outstanding.  Fabulously imaginative work, brilliantly executed. Well done Aly and GWM.  Wish I could have seen it in the flesh.  Have you managed to get rid of those portraits yet?  I know a man who could help.......

What a brilliant table! Any plans to bring it to Australia for a road trip?

I was thinking of a couple of aircraft to add to my collection. Any hints on the scale and manufacturer of Albatros and Se5a?

Are the Officer with the flag and pipe and his offsider scratch builds? The staff officer looks a lot like the one holding the map.

I'd recommend Smer 1/48th aircraft. They are quite basic but sturdy models and cheap!
The chap with the flag is a conversion representing Maj Gen Fuller. I did it for an article in WSS magazine 10 years ago

Thanks Dave

I've ordered a couple of the SMER models.

I might even attempt a couple of conversions as well.

Just by way of contrast, here is the first day of the Battle of Cambrai in 6mm scale:

http://www.wargaming.org.nz/Cambrai.html

More difficult to have the likes of paintings being stolen ;-) but illustrates the magnitude of the attack. Bourlon Wood was off-table. It would have been top-right (near the SU-85 in the background) had we included this sector of the battlefield.

Just stumbled over this project in one of the last WI issues with their Partizan coverage. This is an incredibly beautiful table. Chapeau to you and congratulations on the award!

Beautiful!  :-*

Does the presence of that Vermeer suggest that the German looters got lost and invaded the Netherlands? They are certainly well travelled, they've obviously been to the Louvre as well. Of course they're likely fakes. Wait for the shock they receive when they try to pawn them. :)
