Doctor Who: Exterminate! Report: The Daleks Verses The Cybermen

For those interested I've finally painted up enough Daleks and Cybermen to give "Warlord Games" new "Doctor Who: Exterminate!" rule-set a try. hopefully I've got the mixture of rules and narrative right. There's quite a few mechanics to get the middle-aged head around

Thanks for that very detailed report. I was chatting to the game designers at UK Games Expo at the weekend and they are very enthusiatic and dedicated Who fans. I am sorely tempted to buy the game...except I am already gaming Doctor Who in classic 25mm scale (using the Citadel's Dalek & Cybermen, plus Sontarans & UNIT). That said, I may get it for the game system, which sounds very story/adventure driven, to judge by your account. Chatting to the lads, there seems to be a good selection of fan-favourite figures coming.

How did feel about the game, it did sound a bit complicated with multiple modifications to play (rules plus various cards plus stuff found).

@Ultravanillasmurf - The game is rather complex for the uninitiated imho. But I'd suggest playing the first few without using the Battle cards and Adventure cards. Just use the basic mechanics and faction traits. Then add either of both card decks and enjoy a somewhat complicated but definitely "Doctor Who" feeling adventure; especially if someone is using the Timelord and his crew!!
