Daleks vs Cybermen any history?

Following on from my Dalek project last year I'm going to attempt to create a Cyberman force (aiming for 40 of the buggers).
But while looking up styles, weapons etc. I'm also interested in any details of Daleks vs Cybermen conflicts.
Not the new Doctor Who stuff with the Cybus Cybermen, but earlier stuff where I'm sure there have been stories of the Cybermen
being at war with the Daleks and holding their own.

Any ideas, looking for something that might help me sort out game stats.

I'd forgotten about your rules you did. So did you have a ratio of x number of cybermen per dalek?

Daleks as seen on screen are monstrous. A tank with super weaponry, armour plate and force field piloted by a xenophobic genius. You don't need many in a game IMO, but that doesnt make for a great game!

Have a look at the Lock, Stock document - we had one Dalek vs two Cybermen (to start) vs four other factions of about 5 to 6 in a six player game. It worked really well with our stats and rules.

I always though the classic Daleks and Cybermen were better for gaming. The new ones are just too powerful to deal with in any way other them being a smart as the Doctor. Works great in the show, but in a game the idea of having UNIT troops taking out a batch of new series Daleks is just never gonna happen.

I certainly prefer the cybermen pre cybus revamp. Funny how the cybermen pre-date the Borg and yet the present incarnation just seem to be a poor imitation

there was a rather cool wrap around cover on the magazine back in the day of a Cyber-Dalek space battle, I also remember in the comic strip something about a war.
