@Inso: Oh yes, I'm a big fan of colourful Space Marines. If one plays space pixies vs. helldemons or something there's no reason to restrain oneself. It's like doing Napoleonics armies in actual campaign state rather than full dress. It may make more sense, but it's no fun. Thanks for the link; very pretty indeed.

@eMills: That's the third vote for Scythes of the Emperor already. The CSM are freaking huge, but not quite as freaking huge as the Bigleg Marines. Not by much, maybe half a head or so they're shorter.

I can't paint them all superpretty for the reason that I'm not getting paid for those and I don't really do a lot of 40k playing and don't really have a ton of use for them either in the forseeable future. But yeah, I'm trying to get as much as possible out of them before I have to move on!

Update on the Death Guard dudes:



Got bored with the testmini and it basically served its cause. Now I bring the rest of the guys up to that level and then finish them all together. After that I'll do the characters and the drone.

Still collecting votes for which SM chapter I should paint my Primaris Marines as!

Fantastic.  I'm still not sold on the models, but they look extremely good in the creepy white scheme...fantastic!  I may have to do my upcoming ones in a similar scheme (not those models, but plaguemarines nonetheless!)
