Lovely work Peder and Steve. Nice work on the French infantry stand too, although not part of the Painting club.
Best wishes,
Helen

52. Infantryman, Paterbörnsches Regiment, c. 1701

The prince-bishopric of Paderborn provided troops for every major conflict of the 17th and 18th century. They were notoriously under-equipped, and old-fashioned gear may therefore have prevailed well into the 1700s.

Mad Doc,

That is a gorgeously painted figure.  Well done.

 Cherrybottoms and all  :)

I am still a it confused about that. I read what I could find about the Cherry Bums, and if the color of their breeches really were that dark cherry pink of which one has heard. In most descriptions I could find it says they are "crimson" which to me, is a rich red, verging towards burgundy.

#54 AWI Continental Infantryman - Perry Miniatures

This is from their plastic box and brings with it the usual weird lost details. Not my best work but I'm on the road right now.
