How are you liking Zona Alfa?  Seems a little...flat, but I like the theme and a buddy is asking me to get into it.

Well, he's the author of it, so I reckon he's biased!  lol

Great looking game, by the way. I've got a copy of Zone Alfa and am looking forward to trying it when possible!

Created Frostgrave warbands with my girls and taught them 2nd edition. Lots of rules explanations but they had it well in hand by the third turn.

Used a mix of regular and Lego terrain and the girls used their Lego figures for their warbands.

Baked-in theme aside, Zona Alfa is a tool box. Not for everyone and not to everyone's liking, (as I've been told repeatedly in no uncertain terms) but it's one way to construct a fun game around a narrative. Our game group always seems to have a good time.

And so it is.  So far I've moved it to my Dedburgh theme set in the UK without any problem.  Played three games (one solo) and taken a lot of enjoyment.
The great thing is that I have not had to buy anything new to play though I have had a bit of fun "junk modelling" various scatter terrain pieces.  Looking forward to getting the grandchildren round for a game soon.
Suits us and our style of playing.

I've only seen a couple games played on some YouTube channels - but they're all on channels which...just aren't that exciting?  I'll definitely give it a go, just because I adore Soviet/Russian figures and that's an excuse to buy some Empress ones. :D

My last game was several weeks ago and it was the first in several months.

Don't know if it will help with those particular channels, but I find that most all game related videos improve greatly by cranking up the playback speed.  Game plays, unboxing, and reviews all improve significantly by speeding up all the hems and haws, and the dice rolling.

Or, they could have had a boring game. Always possible.

That said, here's photos from Saturday's Co-op game with lots of pizza, terrain, and minis.

Returning from a mission, a veteran crew responds to a distress call.

That is a great idea bringing in the lego's.  I bet that was a fun game.

Took that new viking skirmish game "Ravenfeast" for a test-game.  No Viking figs so I used pig-faced orcs and dwarves in a plain old smash and bash.  Not a bad game, but not enough red meat for my liking.
