Fubar rules are available for free here https://fubarwargames.wordpress.com/downloads/ and can be used to cover a number of genres, as the website says "dead simple rules" quick and fast and ideal for young wargamers I played this with my eight year old son. Dug in Germans blunt a Soviet armour spearhead buying the Reich a few more precious hours.

Herewith, 10mm English Civil War ECW - Osprey's Pikeman's Lament game. Not the greatest rules but the character traits made it loads of fun. Royalists won the day. Sci-fi Mantic Deadzone using 40k miniatures. Must say these rules are great fun. Best of all are the exploding d8s which make a refreshing change from d6s. Have as yet not tried 3rd edition.

I found vinyl floor tiles with squares the right and same size as the board – a much cheaper option, with terrain just bits of scrap.
