The second game in our Frostgrave campaign. It looks as if we'll stick with the 1v1v1v1 approach.

My half-painted warband suffered most of the casualties and made off with limited loot again, though I did enjoy my crossbowist one-shotting an Apprentice (he got better after the game).

Played some Ronin this morning. Ninja took out a contract to assassinate an old Sensei. The Koryu were able to make short work of the Ninja early on, but the Chunin Ninja turned the tables, cutting down swordsmen, and putting the old dog on the run. But the Sensei escaped amongst the villagers fleeing into the night.

(Ninja Time expired at the end of turn 7)

With the sensei in hiding deep within the bamboo forest, and his school decimated, will the Ninja fraudulently attempt to claim the contract? Will the Koryu regroup and rebuild to take revenge? Who will protect the village from further invasion? Perhaps we will find out in another session of Ronin: Age of the Samurai

A WW2 Battlegroup Kursk encounter to take and hold the farm.
Close encounter and slim German win.

I finally got around to running Mission 2 of the Star Wars campaign using Space Weirdos rules. It was a rebel attack on a remote TIE Fighter base in the Tatooine deserts. Six players, and worked out well. I continue to enjoy these rules...!

Test of Honour at the FLGS on Sunday.  The Hosokawa were routed from the field and the Isshiki could safely escort the palanquin along its journey.  (whoops labelling on photos is reversed):

20mm American War of Independence action, using 20mm/1-72 figures and Black Powder rules.  We played it this Friday past (04 July - in celebration of our Independence Day!)

A full AAR is up in my "AWI Stuff" thread on the "Big Battalions" board.  We're gonna play the same scenario this Friday (11 July) using the Valour & Fortitude rules.

That looks like a fun river boat ride. They should add that river to Disneyland.

I love the miniatures & the terrain but the photography is also exceptional.

After months of peace on account of a bad back, yesterday Trajan responded to a Teutonic incursion, and, despite pouring rain which neutralised his artillery and seriously limited the Roman cavalry, cashed in on a few barbarian blunders and narrowly won the day. And there are pictures to prove it.
The laws of probability do not apply to my dice in wargames or to my finesses in bridge.

Those look nice, can you make the pictures bigger next time? It looks like a lot of time and patience was put into them.

Thanks. I'll try. My wife is the photographer, and says she had to downsize so I could post them on the Pendraken forum.
