I have not painted a lot of fantasy figures recently, but the recent Kickstarter teaser by ShieldWolf has brought the single  Shield Maiden I assembled back in April back into the paint queue.

So I assembled a ShieldWolf shield maiden after I bought the box set from Renedra at Salute.

Size wise she is very tall.
William Killian for scale.

Frostgrave archer (with a Statuesque Heroic female head).


She has now been undercoated and is awaiting painting.

Now as she is likely to be exploring a frozen city, I have added some fur sleeves.

Sleeves are a great idea. Is it worth it extending them to join over her neck/shoulders, like a sort of mantle?

I like her expression too, cold and forbidding!

For the next one I will rework the cape/cloak over the front of the body.

Possibly some trews as well as sleeves.

The standard will function as the magicians for Frostgrave.

If I might ask, how many of each sprue do you get in the infantry/ranger box? It's really unclear from the product page - they show two sprues, and list what you can build, but the number of source sprues isn't clear.

There are two sprues with six bodies and three sprues with four bodies per box.
