I saw some of the Norwgians in the flesh and they were luverly sculpts but noticeably bigger than my BTD figures.
Cannot speak for their other ranges but they would be fine in a complete force of their own

I just managed to find a comparison photo of the Gorgon and Valkyrie Miniatures Norwegians side by side and to my surprise yes the Gorgons are even bigger!  And here I was worried that my Valkyries would be too big! So I am going to happily stick with my Valkyries, as I have plenty and they are now OOP
The Valkyrie Miniatures went out of business @2010.  The 1/35 stuff is somebody else.

I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

Whereas what I am looking for are smaller 28mm early war Germans - to be compatible with Perrys, and May 40 Dutch.  Ideas welcome !

I have Victory Force miniatures. I also mix them with Artizan and they all look great together.

Probably Battle Honors or the Early Berlin or Bust sculpts. Do Old Glory do WWII? They might work too. I have some of the Battle Honors British, They are lovely, only 26mm high so no good with anything else.

I used to work with Norwegians.  Most of them are a head taller than the Germans and British.  :D

Harald Hardrada springs to mind here. Our king Harold had a solution for that, I seem to remember.

Thanks Corporalslim! Great photo. I have never heard of BEF or May 1940 miniatures, must check them out.
No real issues there with any of those is there. Sometimes I think I am just getting too fussy. But I have decided now for my Germans to go with Crusader and Artizan with a few Black Tree. As mentioned, I will have to send off for the Gorgon FFL at some point as nobody else does them, so may have a few Brits and Germans from them too.

Very interesting photo.
I have heard many reports saying the Foundry Germans are noticeably smaller than others - but they looks slightly larger if anything there.
The only one that looks out of place is the old Warlord metal - which are OOP now.

Thanks very much CorporalSlim - much appreciated.

Vodkafan, May 40 do a very nice range of Dutch WW2 figures. They are about to bring out some vehicles, and may be branching out into other areas soon. You can order direct from their website, or via Sally4th in the UK.

Thanks Iain, once i went to the website I did remember seeing them before on the forum. I don't need them at the moment, but you know how it is, you never know....
