How late into the War can the classic early war uniform be used.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

It is my guess the the Classical German Infantry could be used through-out the war especially garrison troops, coastal defence etc.
