I really like your Gotlanders. The shields are cool in particular, giving some uniformity whilst being different in design.

Nice! I like the idea of a group from Gotland.

They'd probably look like most other folk at the time... But it is a nice idea!

I oriented myself to the Gotland picture stones regarding helmets and clothing, so thats why I selected some Rus to represent some of the figures on mentioned stones - as you will see at the next painted ones, they will look more like traditional Vikings

My Gotland Vikings of course need some shelter for the harsh winters in Scandinavia, so I decided to build them some homes to defend.


Building itself is made from Styrodur, the roof from wood.


The thatched roof made from coconut fibres.





First details - the door and the 2 windows so that the smoke can better pull out of the house.


Door and the windows installed, the first details of the inside of the loghouse.


The roof and exterior almost done.

There is still a lot to do, as far as the details for the interior of the house are concerned, and of course there is still a garden and an outlet for the pigs ;-)
