50 cent challenge - the shack
« on: September 02, 2017, 11:40:00 PM »
Picked this kids toy shack up at the recycling centre for 50 cents. It felt like it had good 20mm potential so I took it home.

I removed the base and the roof to be used at a later date and put those in the spares bin. Was surprised to find out the toy was actually meant to house a speaker etc? Not that one had ever been installed by the looks of it.

Thought about glueing plasticcard to close the gaps and then use filler to make it neat, but fortunately KISS prevailed and I added tarps to the top to close the holes. Just a few layers of tissue paper and a 50% off bottle of translucent green Mod Podge. I added some stones and a spare wheel from my bits box and based it up.

Where I am now. I want to get rid of the 2 levitating shovels in front, I'll go over the bits box tomorow to look for a bit of armour plate, pallet or whatever works to hide them, but other then that I'm pretty chuffed sofar. This should work fine as a beat up old shack for Gaslands, any kind of Post Apoc game or just a run down area of town, of any nation.

This is a good start! Cheers!
