I needed two Artizan riflemen to enable me to take the squad up to 12 figures, I put some feelers out on the wanted section of this forum and within days these five figures plopped on to my doormat. They had come all the way from Finland courtesy of fellow Laffer and all round generous good guy Pocoloco, thanks matey :)
There were two guys in parkas and an NCO that I decided would work as some platoon command, the parka guys are from the Devils Brigade range of figures from Artizan but I think they look OK as a couple of junior Officers.

Love this thread. I must say I much prefer these US figures to the new Empress ones, they look like they would paint up very cleanly even for me.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :
figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

Thanks for the comments chaps, much appreciated :)

Excellent work Jeff, any light vehicles in the offing?

They will come eventually Stuart, I've got to learn how to paint vehicles first without an airbrush. Any pointers to good tutorials would be appreciated.

Glad you like the thread vodkafan, I've used Warlord Games and Artizan miniatures for this platoon simply because I wanted some variety. I have some of the new Empress figures which I really like but I haven't included them here as I was thinking of doing another platoon at a later date on Spring/summer bases for the push into Germany  :)

Loving these recent additions! As an inveterate mix and matcher when it comes to assembling forces like this I have Warlord Games alongside Artizan, Blacktree, Westwind, Stoessi's Heroes and now Offensive Miniatures....they all work and add something to the whole?

This thread is awesome ...but I really don't need to feel any colder right now  lol

Awesome work once again Jeff!  :o Love them!  :-*

I should have sent you more :)

If you are not going to use airbrush on vehicles, may I suggest that you do most of the groundwork for vehicle painting with spray cans, some manufacturers offer US Olive drab etc colours in cans and whitewashing tutorials (if you choose to whitewash some of the vehicles) are plenty abound e.g. in the Youtube.

Keep up the great work!
