Englishmen with snow on their boots - MORE PICTURES ADDED
« on: April 05, 2009, 03:56:21 PM »
Kashgar : Today the strees of Kashgar reverberated with a new sound: the echoing step of marching British Tommies, accompanied by their singing 'Its a Long way to Tipperary'. This heralded the arrival in Kashgar of the new British Agent, Sir Scot Strapp, together with his escort.

Sir Scot Strapp, accompanied by officers of his escort:

British Riflemen:

British machinegunners:

Group shot:

Figures are HLBS Great White North range, painted in the winter uniform of British intervention troops in the RCW. All are as supplied except for the addition of greenstuff rank stripes for the NCOs and adding a rifle to the MG ammunition carrier. Buildings are a mix Monolith and scratchbuilds with Monolith roofs added.

You are not hanging around with this project are you! Have you some sort of contest with Yankeepedlar and his Zulus on the go?

Looking good, I did mine from more of a fantasy perspective in an RAF type blue. Nice to see them done properly.

The mans from Poole - they don't know what snow is :)

In his defence though we have snow and green grass and I would have thought so would the areas of this theatre too

Sure, I've seen snow together with green grass when living in Buffalo, New York, but it's rare enough to make it look kind of strange on a mini base.  Hardly detracts from a really nice collection of minis though.  :)

You get snow and grass whenever deepish snow melts. Which is once a year in most of Russia, but Kashgar is warmer, I think.

Generally Russia and "the thaw" is firmly associated with mud on boots, not snow!  :P
