Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Miniatures ID
« on: December 09, 2017, 04:10:11 PM »
I have recently acquired some Advanced Dungeons and Dragons blisters and found these in the box, I have been searching online and have been able to identify most of them but cannot find the name of the following two blisters. Would anyone know how these are named? Thanks for your help.

Did you take a look at this site?
http://www.dndlead.com/ral-partha/RP-PlayerCharacters.htm

Not sure about the bottom blister, they remind me of 3-stage player characters, but not specially made for AD&D ( as in, no TSR license on the base ).

Found the bottom one: ( Ral Partha 01-335 Anti-Hero ):

http://www.miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=3-Stage_Player_Characters

Edit: and the top ones too: 01-339, Drow Elves, same page.

Mind you, there should have been 3 in a blister and if I remember correctly they haven't been sold originally in blisters like those you have. Maybe some last clearance packaging before they went out of business?

Thanks for the help Duncan! Would not have found them, you might be right regarding the packaging as there's also no label with the content present. The other blisters had that name label. Might be interesting for collectors of these DnD miniatures.

These are AFAIK indeed the wrong packages, I also have some blisters with the card from the licensed AD&D range (TSR) that contain Ral Partha figures from other (non licensed) RP ranges.

I couldn't tell if these are of interest to collectors or not, I (used to) collect this range but personally I never had much intrest in wrongly packaged figures.

I like my games like my orange juice: pulpy with no added sugar or artificial sweeteners

Thanks for the information, do you have an idea as collector how much the blisters with correct miniatures are roughly worth as I'm looking to shift them.

Prices really vary wildly from blister to blister. Maybe check Ebay for 'sold' items prices (not the asking prices...).

Prices seem to have dropped considerably since I was collecting them. Now you can find "Council of Wyrms" dragons for less than 20€, that used to be 3 to 5 times that much.

The old Ral Partha 3-Stage Character range is now sold by Ral Partha Europe. Individual figures are 2.75 BP.
