Hi, all,
I've just finished off the (very) rough basic rules for my Hong Kong Action Movie rules, and am about to start playtesting them. I've got a very small group of gamers I play with so would appreciate a few more opinions and broader feedback.
It's quite a lite game, with only a couple of stats per character, but it does seem to provide a rather decent, fun game. There aren't rules to cover every possible outcome and do require either an umpire or a consensus between players.
The current document is very much a work in progress, and might not be the best-written system (yet!), but I think it's pretty straightforward. There are a couple of noticeable omissions, chiefly the campaign system (again, very basic), and rules for grenades, but what there is is playable (and quite fun from the games I've tested it out in).
If anyone would be interested in having a look at them, please drop me a PM with your email address, and I'll send you a copy.
Not sure at this stage if I'd be looking to publish them myself (the people in the office have already agreed to design the pages and proofread everything, and I do know a couple of artists who might be willing to contribute a cover/interior art), or submit them to a magazine/post them on the Internet. I guess it depends on how well the system plays, and how popular the setting is! Opinions on this matter are also welcome!
Cheers,
Phil
