REMINDER
The deadline for posting progress pics is next Sunday.
I will give a few days - probably up to a week - for painted pics to be sent by email - and then we vote.
So far I have received a total of six entries; if you have not received a reply from me but have (or think you have!) submitted then there's something wrong.

I will not be locking threads after this, so will rely on you guys not to add any further construction work after today.

Remember to submit a photo of the painted model to the email indicated in the first post of this thread.

I AM GIVING A WEEK'S GRACE FOR THIS - THIS MEANS THAT PHOTOS ARE TO BE MAILED BY THE NOON ON SUNDAY 11TH MARCH; THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN CONTINUE ADDING BITS TO YOUR BUILD! 

If you do not make it by then I'd still recommend posting a photo of the unpainted build anyway.

Is it OK to pose the entry with an appropriate background? 
The entry is front and centre it's just posed with some other stuff.
The Background is almost all scratch built too just a while ago...)

Strictly speaking the object should have a base, but we haven't really emphasised this. So the scenery is ok - as long as the tanks is central and occupies most of the photo.

Seeing this year was a bit messy with the move and the subsequent pic posting problem, and seeing that many have been working full swing to get the model completed, I thought I'd give extra time for the painted pics - especially as I only received 8 entries so far (it IS a grand show already, though).

Damn! I was painting like mad since noon. All those details I made are killing me  . I hate painting scenery...

I think It's totally the right thing to do, we want to see more finished builds in the contest, or just more finished builds in general.  So get finishing and painting everyone!

At least I made good progress on the painting. Nothing makes me work harder than an approaching deadline
