looking for pre-dreadnaught deck plans
« on: April 19, 2009, 07:43:14 PM »
I'm looking to scratch-build ironclads and pre-dreadnaught warships for some 19th century historical and hypothetical senerios in 1:1200 scale.  My problem is finding usable deck plans to serve as templates in order to cut out the deck levels.  I have Conway's book on the 1860-1905 period, but these show only elevation drawings.  The Jane's Fighting Ships books cover too late a period.  I also have Parkes'  vol. on British ships, but I need plans for other nations, especially France. It would be alright if the plans were to a drifferent scale.  Any suggestions on sources.
