Know a Good Supplier for Ma. K. (SF3D) Model Kits?

Does anyone know a good source for 1/35, 1/20, and/or 1/6 scale Ma. K. (SF3D) model kits in or inexpensively shipped to the USA?

Not toys but kits.

Specifically, the enclosed egg-like armor units like the SAFS, Racoon, Fireball, and so on?

Join the Machinen Krieger forum and post a WTB. HLJ have a good selection (if they're not oop) and WKB is excellent for garage kits (contact him via twitter https://twitter.com/WKBMODEL).

Every supplier I've found has trouble keeping specific kits in stock.

With Ma. K. your best bet is eBay.  You can often find great deals on people moving along old kits or hobby shops listing odd things they haven't moved.


Just avoid Chinese and HK listings unless they are known hobby suppliers.

Seems people buy multiple models from Hobby Link Japan as soon as something is released.  Then, it's discontinued or sold out.

Sheesh, this is like collecting wine or cigarettes in prison, almost like the kits are used as currency.  Amazing.

I could be wrong, but aren't the Ma.K suits more weird war? Might be easier to find them if you look along that basis.

Might also be something in the DUST range that is similar, or perhaps the likes of West Wind or Warlord's weird war stuff.

Strictly speaking, the Ma.K/SF3D setting is Sci-Fi with a WW2 aesthetic. But you're right, of course, there are numerous Weird War thingies that took inspiration from it, and it pretty much codified the modern "technology" Weird War aesthetic feel.
