Season 3 ROUND 2 Call For Entries
« on: April 20, 2009, 09:44:46 PM »
As Round 1 is up and running with a good voter turnout and lots of lovely constructive commentary, I must now remind any existing or new competitors wishing to submit a new entry for Round 2, you need to do so by 07.00 GMT on Sunday 26 April.

Send your teams for Round 2 to lpleague3@yahoo.co.uk

Please remember to include the team name or title of your entry, and your LAF user ID with your email.

You do not have to enter a new team every round. If you already have a team in Round 1 and you do not enter a replacement team for Round 2, then your Round 1 entry will continue into Round 2 and will be matched against a different opponent.

But don't forget that from Round 2 onwards, every new team entered attracts a 10 point 'new team' bonus (provided it has not been previously pictured on the web or elsewhere).

Just a couple of rule reminders:

1. All entries should include a shot of the group or team. You can add different angles or close-ups as you wish, but you need to include the group shot.

2. The composition of your shot is entirely your choice. You can use a neutral background or display the figures 'in situ' against scenery.

Looking forward to seeing some more fantastic entries for Round 2. There's no 'theme bonus' in Rounds 2, 3 and 4, so anything goes!

 :)

:-[ I'm not laughing at this end - I have NO idea how to take a good photo of this next lot... they just won't keep still.

I would be laughing if my next picture also wasn't such a problem. I'm afraid it will be a "rush job" though

Ahhh...!  :)

The core of the second entry is ready. Next I will try to make a pleasing setting for the photography. Let's see, the photo must be a collage of all the miniatures, correct?  ;)

Lumme! Time's a-movin'. I don't think I'm going to be able to keep up with the pace for long. I don't know how folks can paint quickly, I just don't seem to have it in me. I think I needed to start about six months ago. Oh well. Never mind, eh?  :)

I think some of us did start six months ago.    :)

You are right time's now flying along.

My output is sporadic I joined in LPL3 to reduce the lead pile a bit but still only achived 15 minis in a month which I spose is quite good seeing as I did 15  from Jan to March.

Finding/making the time is really hard.

Boh! That's not for real Lead paintes eh...that's for Rubber painters ;):P

I finished the first one and half of the second one yesterday. I nearly went insane due to what I was painting (won't say what) but with two evenings and one afternoon left I think I can manage them in the time frame.
Man, only the second week, but the pace is already killing :D. On the other hand, the idea to finish 50+ miniatures in 10 weeks is beyond fantastic

I can almost guarantee you that neither will I. It is very difficult for me to find time for 'The Hobby' right now, what with being fater-cum-tutor to fiver, son of hammers. Fencing, recital training, rethorics, Grand Tours etc., etc. ...

I think I will be able to keep up for at least five rounds if I put a few old things in play, and plan the few hours I have to myself carefully. Not painting more than the minimum requirement five helps, so does not picking a fairly straightforward subject matter. The problem is shooting something good looking. Most of my props are packed away.

I can already feel the pace as well and I even have some rounds finished in advance. I will try to take pictures this afternoon, which takes a fair amount of time in itself, maybe get some painting done too 8)

I find you really need preferably the weekend and a weeknight or two to finish an entry, and that is not something I have every week ;)
