But it’s a great extension to a current project  :D

I can’t disagree that wider as well as deeper playability provides for a better return on investment  :D

 :D

Before investing more, I will complete what I’ve got (though I have  ideas for more tiles already formulating, such as an elevated railway and some Georgian style terrace houses).

In the meantime..... the Cobbled Road test piece is complete. A couple of quick photos taken this evening in poor lighting.... hopefully better ones including of the Hansom will follow tomorrow.

Thank you all  :)

Time for a catch-up photo dump of some of the finished minis, the Hansom Cab and the terrain. I have other items finished but they await appearance in the LPL, and others currently on the painting desk (including scatter terrain).

First up the Hansom Cab. I know they can be bought commercially but I scratchbuilt this one simply because I’ve decided to scratchbuild all the vehicles for this project. Seems kind of mad maybe but I think that way I can get the scaling and style to blend better with the buildings for a more consistent composition. (I’m thinking about a refuse wagon next)

Some minis from earlier in the project that might appear as extras in the LPL, rephotographed against the new terrain.... most of these converted in some way:

Then from LPL Round 1, the despicable henchmen followed by the Lord of the Whitechapel Coven (a Project Z assembly/conversion) with his dog-wolf and coffin:

And finally some better images of the new road piece set up in front of the slaughterhouse (there are quite a road pieces to follow):

I’m not at all concerned that the road section differs in appearance to the slaughterhouse yard, as ultimately the roads themselves will be consistent and the yard is a distinct area:

Next images will likely be from LPL rounds 2-3 while I frantically paint rounds 4-6 plus some scatter. More terrain will likely have to wait until after the LPL.  :'( :D

That cab is a triumph, better than any shop bought kit I'd say. :-* ;D
