Thank you, Hobgoblin! I was on a long painting hiatus, but this idea was originally stolen errr borrowed from your thread when you used larger scale models for D&D giants.
It doesn’t work so well from the 90s onwards due to the trend of comically large weapons with many manufacturers, though.

In the last few weeks everyone in the family was ill, so I didn’t find much time for the hobby. I did, however, continue my 15mm chaos dwarfs, however. I intend to play Warhammer (4th) or Dragon Rampant with these little rascals.  I got two good sized units of blunderbusses and axe-dwarfs now. Next in line will be bull centaurs and hobgoblins! Models by Admirality Miniatures!

First some WiPs of Chaos Dwarfs and Hobgoblins. I was looking for a quick paint scheme that first of all allowed me to churn out rank upon rank of evil warriors and second captured the colorful spirit of the 90s big hat evil dorfs!

Together with his trusted companions Luigi Dorks, a veteran from the fearless greatswords, and Niralas a renegade elf, Der Wolf roams the borderlands to root out evil and chaos! Models from the demonworld range by the magnificent Werner Klocke (now sold by ralpartha ; the witchhunter is actually a 28mm halfling from hasslefree miniatures, but I think it works perfectly for 15mm!

Three models for my 15mm chaos army in finished form. The guy with the big sword is an old citadel minatures chaos familiar. I think he makes an awesome chaoswarrior in 15mm! The next model is something I can’t remember…don’t know what it is meant to be nor where I got him. That’s a good prerequisite for joining the forces of Chaos. Last, but not least a chaos goblins model, also from Citadel.

Cool updates man! I love the Chaos Familiar with blade...he used to be my Chaos Lord in my 28mm army. I really liked the idea of him being so small due to some random Gift of Chaos. Small in size...but with the power of a true Chaos Lord

Hey thanks! Yeah, that one is my favorite, too. Pretty cool idea of making the commander of a chaos force a mutant! Muc better than just letting him have MOAR skulls!
I lile these old skool familiars so much because they show what is possible in 15mm…a scale still dismissed by many gamers because the models aren’t nice.

Hashut be praised! I have finally a playable 15mm Chaos Dwarfs army for Dragon Rampant!!!

My apologies for these poor shots, but I wanted to pose around a little 🤗🤘.

As I’ve already said in older posts, the models are a real joy to paint and come very near to the Chaos Dwarfs of my personal golden age of Warhammer (what has now become known as middlehammer or oldhammer ).

I intend to field the army either with the excellent dragon rampant rules or will play Warhammer (possibly also Kings of War) with them.

My army at the moment consists of 2 demon generals (elite foot, magician), 2 chaos dwarf axemen (heavy foot, offensive), 2 chaos dwarf blunderbusses (heavy missiles, heavy projectiles), 2 hobgoblins (light foot, fearful), 1 hobgoblin archer (scouts), 1x bull centaurs (heavy cavalry, reduced models), 1x hobgoblin minicannon, 2x chaos dwarf flamer teams and 1x chaos dwarf rocket launcher.

My biggest problem is the ridiculously high postage I currently need to pay to order some models which are missing (I need a couple of bull centaurs, hobgoblins and characters).

Anyway, the project is super fun until now. I am not sure what I‘ll do to get them a suitable opponent, though. I need to find time to arrage the models better….
