Looking for a suitable miniature in a Jumpsuit
« on: 14 May 2009, 03:19:47 AM »
Pretty much says it all up top there...

I know of the Victory ones which look very good:

Just want more options, including some women in Jumpsuits possibly... but any help would be appreciated!

Thanks
Mac

Heresy has some jump suit security types in their sci-fi range.

There are the Copplestone and Artizan KKBB guards, they are in boiler suit type things that might be useful for you. Artizan also do a set of American tank crews again in boiler suits style costumes, you might also find something useful in their Thrilling Tales range.

These are probably more pulpy than you are looking for but I thought I'd throw them out there for you just in case, plus they are really nice figures that wouldn't take a lot of work to modernise.

Angry / Mr. J
Thanks for the suggestions!

Those are all great miniatures and even bought out something else that would be cool to get, but most/some of them have too many bits or too many pouches/holsters/hats/guns/ etc...

The Copplestone are the closest out of the lot, but without the headgear and weapons... that would be the ideal target.

Anyone else have a lead on a plain ole' jumpsuit wearin' Mini ??

Thanks again
Mac

well BTD have the Auton dummies in the Who range... shop window display dummies in overalls... would need some work for what you probably want as they are kind of featureless...

I seem to remember something in the Superfigs range being mentioned when I was looking for figures suitable for Visitors from V... a henchmen group or something, I never pursued it, but there could be something there for you as well...

this was my call for overalls on Frothers: http://frothersunite.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=19790

Evil
Have you considered the old school GW Plastic IG for the Visitors?? They can have the regiment button easily filed or Xacto'ed off.  A little bit of green stuff to make the shoulders look right and you are good to go.

Do a head swap to make the baseball caps... minor green stuff conversions :D

These are going to be my fallback on the jumpsuits if I cannot find an alternative. I will have a few extra if you are interestd in making the Visitors I can scrounge them up.

Thanks for the suggestions again.
Mac
