They are incredibly striking, well done  :-*
I really am going to have to get some of the Victrix knights. They look top notch.

Thank you! I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the kit, the poses are great, details are great, and they really look like proper heavy cavalry.

A little sneak preview of the next project that will appear. Couldn't resist some of the new Victrix knights.

That chap with the antlers is magnificent. Straight outta Malory.

i really didn't. I think it took me almost a week to post the picture of the first builds. I think the painting took me a good part of two weekends, but I also built the warlord and the next five knights while painting the first six.

Thank you! Spotting that helmet did a lot for settling on the theme for the force.

There is a lot of potential in Victrix minis. I am waiting for foot knights and maybe I'll do small, historically (in)accurate project from borderland between CrossTeutons and Poland.

One of the characteristics of polish coats of arms is, that most of them have white devices on red field. In more fantasy than historical setting, changing red for green and keeping it as a dominat field color seem ok, if polish medieval vibes are important. However crossed arrows looks too generic IMHO, especially that polish heraldry use a lot of uniqe, weird  symbols of unknow origin:

Victrix are excellent, hope you enjoy! My two recommendations would be to carefully check what parts are meant to go together (I see a lot of people not understanding the two-part dane axes in the Viking kit, and even sometimes people building figures with double elbows as the kit has two different styles of bodies and arms) and to keep in mind that the spears are very thin. The viking kit has probably the most fragile spears of any Victrix kit, later releases are a little thicker and thus more durable.

They’ve just arrived and I can totally see how people go wrong here. Also, I had expected them to come in a box and was disappointed they didn’t but I suppose that keeps costs down, and they are a good price indeed.

I think a few Victrix sets come in a bag with a little card thing for display on the top.

I agree on the general sentiment but we got crossed random stuff covered nicely :>

I would go with 3 crossed lances personally as Jelita is very recognizable Polish coat of arms (if not very green in nature:P
Green is rarest color in Polish coats of arms but it was there, not sure if that early. You can see one green on the linked page but most popular would be some variant of Tromba -with differently placed 2 or 3 drinking horns.

Apologize to Ogrob for imposing my visions. Looking at his work, I started thinking  too much, what I would like to do with the knights :P

@AWu

Symbols that I chose, are the oldest coats of arms. Were probably used in prechristian Poland (not as heraldic devices, but to mark territory or properity). In my mind, it make more sense to use old symbols in fantasy setting.

I agree that there are other pretty cool devices, but they are much younger. Legend dates "Jelita" to battle of Plowce 1331, "Trąby" are from late XV c.

Would love to see your take. I appeciate the information provided by you both as well. Certainly I have cherry picked to fit my vision and story as opposed to making something closer to historically correct. I think a set of victrix knights in authentic polish heraldry would look fantastic.

Ive ever don 15s. Boleslaw Rogatka and his retinue, but its more Silesian branch than traditional Polish.

I am yet to move them to 28 when Barons War knights will be released (I prefer the Footsore look and sale  to heroic Victrix)

Is that freehand on 15mm? Incredible!

I finished assembling the last sprue of knights. Having 18 in the kit allows me to build 4 full points of hearthguard, plus a warlord. The spare figure got a Fireforge lance and I made a quick banner from paper.
