I think you might find it originated in Africa, anyway,
my boys get around a bit  ;)

 lol

I think you might find it originated in Africa

According to Wiki it came from around the Caribean, the very southern tip of the US and the Spanish Empire:

Very sadly and much to my better judgement, I am also being pedantic over a heading which was simply written to make others smile:

I didn't mean any offence mate. Nor was it a passive aggressive remark. Just thought you might be interested.

Adirmal Nicholas Hawtrey (retired) with askaris bodyguard and faithful hound Winston

Admiral Hawtrey was going to call his dog Voodoo, but as he was an English bulldog and not African, he could not bring himself to do so, what a pedantic old fool the admiral was  ;D

All very nice but am I the only one finding the photos with the dark background a bit of a challenge for seeing the photos - except the Watuta with their white headdresses?  I think I understand the reasoning and perhaps better than the white backgrounds where some of the items washed out if not in the front of the focal plane (depth of field?).  Still, makes it harder for me to focus on that fine work.

I actually prefer a dark background to a lighter one. For starters, feeling rather counter-intuitive, it can be harder to get the lighting right the lighter the background I have found.

Thank you for the advice, but I can assure you, my miniatures look much better in low light, preferably pitch black to make them look stunning  ;)
