Ngoni Chief Zwangendaba (reigned c. 1815–48), leads a raiding  party to Lake Tanganyika. After his death, the Ngoni state fragmented into several components, and the people continued their travels, occupying areas in Tanzania, Malawi and Zambia.

Azande scouts clear a path for Sir Alexander Featherstonehaugh's baggage party, but can they be trusted?

Thank goodness Captain Burty Shufflebottom has arrived with his Naval Party and their mascot Winston, that should make the Azande think twice about double crossing their English paymaster.

Beautiful work, Lord Raglan!   I was about to ask exactly what magnificent looking mini you used for the equally magnificently named, "Sir Alexander Featherstonehaugh"?  I didn't even know Wargames Illustrated made a Sir Garnet Wolseley figure until Diablo Jon mentioned him.

My granddaughter was also keen to get into the Darkest Africa action last weekend. With a giant leopard in tow, who could possibly stop King Zwangendaba and his brave tribesmen.
