I love the helmets, very evocative of Stannis' forces in the TV series and I'm in awe of your productivity.

Looking at the shields unpainted I cant help noticing that the fiery heart looks somewhat like turnip...

It’s that sort of talk that gets people burnt at the stake by the Lord of Light  ;)

All hail the fiery turnip....I mean heart.

 :D

The night is dark and full of root vegetables :p

All kidding aside I'm sure a bit of paint will do the trick.

Quick update - didn’t have a lot of time today so rather than start a new unit I thought I’d paint up a couple of terrain pieces - some Wildling encampments, using the old Steve Barber cavemen tents.

The camp fires are just green stuff and sand.

I did think about having the snow melted back from the fire pits but I’ve opted for more of a semi abandoned look...ie the fire has gone out but enough warmth to keep the snow off it (or it hasn’t snowed lately) ....again thought about having some glowing embers but decided against it.

I really like the faded grey palette you've got going for your wildlings, really hits home the whole "abandoned Beyond the Wall" feel

Indeed, great colour choices. Snow looks really good as well.

Thanks everyone, glad you like the camp - I’d love to get hold of some more of the tents, but it looks like they are OOP which is a shame.

Been limited for time this week...another 5 nights away for work...fortunately the last of the year. Managed to get to Recon yesterday and picked up another box of Frostgrave Soldiers, some Frostgrave sailors, plus a box of Oathmark humans...3 for 2 in the Warlord bargain bin!

Also took advantage of NorthStar’s FunTime Friday sale last week, which added another box each of Fireforge Foot Sergeants, Frostgrave Soldiers, and Mantic Northern tribesmen, so the plastic mountain is satisfyingly large.... ;D

Going to try and make some progress on the Baratheons, plus a few odds and ends.

 :)

Not much time this afternoon...still not happy with the first Baratheon, but managed to finish 3 Bolton cavalry that had been sat on my paint table for a while.

Nice work, will these go in as part of a larger block with your lance-armed Boltons?
