Thanks, chaps.
 :)

Great job Pablo.

Where the hell are you finding so many virgins in SE21?  ;)

Spreading the gospel, Brother Paul. New converts. Good job  :)

 lol
Must be something in the water.....

Out of the 14 who have 'had a go', most have asked to play again.
There is another 'Ladies Night' to arrange with four new players (word has got around!) and a 4-way 'Doubles Match' to be arranged over the Crimbo holiday period. That could be quite interesting with eight around the table...

It is getting quite difficult to keep up with the demand!
 lol

Re: Outland: A Sci-Fi Project. A 'cap' for a 20th Century. building... (23/09)

Following our games last week, where I used the early 20thC. period Police Station as an additional building I thought it needed 'something' to make it blend in a little more.

That little 'something' turned out to be a removeable 'Cap' for the building, as it would then fit the theme of the other 'sci-fi' buildings I have with a matching roof.
I may make something else to fit over the front porch later. ...

And without the 'cap' it can still be used in 20thC. games...

And, finally, a shot of the 'cap' itself....

Well, that works - totally changes the look and feel of the building. I get a similar feeling when I walk through my neighbourhood and folks have installed solar panels - it immediately gives a sci-fi twist to the familar.

This is actually a pretty good example of something that came up in another thread about using buildings in multiple periods.
https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=138394.0

I think your roof cap is a great example of the point one of the posts in that thread made, that swapping roofs can totally change the period/ place a building invokes.

Cheers!

Also, you need to bear in mind that the roof is the only part of a building that is almost always visible when playing, so worth giving a little more thought and attention to.

The start of another urban building for Outland.
Based on a huge foamboard building that I have cut up to make more manageable when it comes to storage, it has been greebled up with leftover bits and offcuts of sprue from various MDF sources, along with loads of plastic bits from from the bits box.

There is more to add to it but this section need painting first before those parts can be added.

Now to paint the thing....

Thanks, chaps.
 :)

It has been a while, but I think it is time to get more scenery done for Outland.
This building is nearly done and I have quite a few more things waiting in line.

The latest urban building for Outland is now finished,
It will have another section added to its summit to increase the height at a later date once it has been constructed, but it is perfectly serviceable as it is (which will be proven on Thursday when we next play!)
