40k meets Studio Ghibli
« on: 10 December 2018, 11:02:12 PM »
Hi all,

Thought I'd share some pics of my latest mini. I've converted the UR-025 miniature from GW's Blackstone Fortress game into an old abandoned Explorator robot. Very much a homage to the robot in Studio Ghibli's Laputa: Castle in the Sky.

That's about the most clever idea I've seen all year. Awesome!
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

Brilliant! 8)

As a 40K fluff nut, an image was immediately created in my mind. And what better way to express it than through a haiku?

Men of Iron rise
As butterflies beat their wings
Ancient storms return

+++EDIT+++ corrected for  proper poetic form...  :D

I don't know the reference, but it's a beautifully painted figure and a rather poignant version to boot! Love the vegetation growth.
