Did you buy into the latest Arnhem kickstarter?

I most certainly did. Think I got one of everything...

Here's where I'm up to with the AVRE and crew:

Thanks Carlos. It's the Warlord Churchill with the S&S conversion kit:

A few more pics:

... plus a couple of 3D printed snipers that I got with the tanks crew blokes.

A famous Canadian sniper at that! Lovely work on both.

Thanks chaps.

The bloke, from whom I bought the crew & snipers, also chucked in some infantry figures.
Printed on a slightly more brittle grey resin (easy snap rifle barrels), one now has a Warlord plastic bit pinned to the end.

Very nice looking figures but the fragility is somewhat offputting.

Agreed, the infantry probably wouldn't survive being dropped on anything harder than a shag pile carpet.
The crew figures & snipers were printed in a much more forgiving/robust/tad softer resin. Also a lot smoother finish, I'm assuming they were also printed at a higher resolution..

Another eBay find; German Panzerwerfer 42, also a 3D print from a different seller. Tracks/wheels and body all one piece, rocket tubes and MG separate parts. Added jerry can & axe from bits box.

Those look pretty spiffy.

Re the resin, I'm presently of the view that it's a better medium for chunkier items like tanks, guns or houses. Probably quite OK for figures if they aren't going to be handled, just occasionally dusted.

Only other thing currently on the go is this, SdKfz 10/4:

Loosely based on this picture of one captured by British Airborne in Normandy.

Going to add this chap from the Arnhem Heroes 2 set

Model is Rubicon, the gun and mount a 3D print.

That's a lovely little model.

Interesting photo too. It looks like that one is absent its bonnet.

Hi Ash,

Really lovely painting!

For your British airborne, what figures do you think work the best in terms of mixing with Warlord plastics and metals?

Will Empress and Foundry miniatures work well?
