I'd tried to go for the worn leather coming through the black of the jacket... stands out better in real life actually... was a bit worried I'd done my usual and screwed up the varnishing, but I think it's ok (no patience me)...

The David Tennant figures sculpt is a great likeness but the Ecclestone figure may even be better. 

The luxurious paint jobs dont hurt either of course

Interesting that this mini has only been on sale for about a week but already there are quite a few painted versions up on various forums - a sign of how overdue a Ninth Doctor mini has been? (and what a brilliant sculpt it is, of course). I've only just based mine up, but about to go off on holiday for a few weeks, so he'll sit awaiting the paint brushes for a little while longer. It has inspired me to clean and base up the Hasslefree 'Maria' mini to stand in for Rose though.

PS. Would it be really cheeky to point out that the line should be 'Lots of planets have a north'..
