Well, looks like were-yoghurt is due for a mostly separate release (with a few other characters presumably on the same sprue) just next week :)

That's good news for me.

Time for some hostile geometry.

These monsters are my version of Tzeentch Horrors for WHQ: Silver Tower.

Brimstone Horrors = Abnormal Icosahedra
Blue Horrors = Uncanny Dodecahedrons
Pink Horrors = Anomalous Polyhedrons

I've always found geometry creepy. Must be the regular angles, straight lines and smooth surfaces that rarely occur out there in the world make it feel decidedly unnatural. And in my mythos, demons are commonly uncanny alien anomalies. Things that don't belong to the material sphere humanity inhabits. Good examples of what inspired these demon miniatures are the monolith from Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), and The Dead Zone, a 2016 photography series by Julien Coquentin depicting a black cube eerily levitating through forests and above ponds. I love those images so much; they fill me with dread and fascination.
The models are resin 3D prints of geometric sculptures. The 3D models were created by mathematical sculptor George W. Hart, and are based on physical sculptures by Morton C. Bradley Jr.

Interesting and very effectively alien, although they do disappear a bit against your black photographic backgrounds.  I've done something similar years ago with arts & crafts store beads stuck together to be an extra-dimensional xeno critter in (of all things) FASA's Star Trek RPG.  Probably both cheaper and easier to 3D print those though - not that beads are especially expensive.

Interesting take on the demonic. I never thought about that geometry could be considered scary, but then Lovecraft based much of his horror off of strange geometry. I guess places like the Giants cosway would be nods of power for their kind.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Brilliant concept, excellent execution. However I agree that they get a bit lost in the dark photographs.

Thanks people!

Behold, a Skaven Screaming Bell with the skaven-ness stripped away.  This model can be an objective, a unit or a static piece of scenery. With optional accessories I'll be adding later, it will be customisable for different factions.
