Where can I find a suitable Arab figure?
« on: 18 June 2009, 06:25:02 PM »
I have started to plan for the next LPL Season   ;D

I need one 28mm unarmed 19th century Arab figure that should serve as a prisoner. He can sit or stand and shall look as he is close to meet his maker. Any suggestions?

argsilverson,

interesting idea. They should be cowering creatures. Might you have seen these (no picture on the Perry website)

But they will probably be in Egyptian uniform (or it's remnants) rather than "Arab" dress. Sadly I haven't seen this set yet, but I have some similar by Cannon Fodder Miniatures (if I recall correctly) which are in this dress.
Maybe you could try looking through the various Renaissance, Reconquista, Ancient etc ranges that feature Arabic or similar figures. After all, if he is to be unarmed, any cowering wretch in suitable dress should work.

The Perrys do casualties in their Crusades range and maybe one of those may be useful. There is a pic for that set  :)

unfortunately there is no pic in their site and I haven't this set.

I think that someone has a photo or I think I have seen them somewhere painted.
As far as I can recall they are ragged and at least one or two have chains on their legs.

if anyone knows more please post a photo!
